Well Done Gryffindor

Gryffindor Nail Art

100 points to Gryffindor!!!  My first Harry Potter inspired nails are probably my most popular nails, so I was super excited when I found these Harry Potter stamping plates by Aiyoohehe.

They have plates for each of the houses, as well as the books.  I used the Deathly Hallows plate last week.  Too bad I didn't have this ring then, but it still works for this design. I got the ring from Born Pretty Store.  For only $3.49, I couldn't pass it up. Plus, you can use coupon code GHLQ10 for 10% off!  The ring also comes in silver and black.

Nail Polish
Polish Used:
  • Wild and Crazy - Wild Vision
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Liquid Gold
  • Base and top coats
Other Supplies:
  • hēhē stamping plate - 026 (Gryffindor)
  • Rubber stamper

These plates are so detailed, that even just basic stamping looks amazing.  I kept the color scheme red and gold for Gryffindor.  To create this look:
  1. Apply a maroon base color.

  2. Use gold stamping polish to stamp the design on each nail - check on index, Gryffindor emblem on middle, swirls on ring, crisscross on pinky, and sweeping lines on thumb.

If you could be in any house, which would you choose?  I think I would choose Gryffindor.  Not just because it was the one Harry Potter was in, or because it is the most popular, but I like what they stand for.

Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart

  1. I'd probably get sorted to Ravenclaw, but I'd love to be in Slytherin : )

These are lovely, and look so cool with the the ring.

    1. All the houses definitely have some good points. I really wish Hogwarts was a real school. And thanks! The ring does definitely pull the look together.
