Midnight Marble

Midnight Marble Nail Art

Drip marble...aka...my new obsession! SOooooooo much easier that water marbling, and it has an organic looks that actually looks like marble. I'm in love and can't wait to try this with all different colors.

I received the cute little bow charms from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. I'm a huge fan of bow charms in general, and I LOVE that these are gold metal bows. The bows are dainty, so they are perfect for short nails like mine. The bows also have a curved back, so they adhere nicely to the shape of your nail. I just wish you got more than two charms...I already lost one :( But I would definitely recommend these for any charm and bow lovers out there.

Nail Polish

Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Black to Black
  • OPI - 212 Sephora
  • JLB Cosmetics - gold (6)
  • Disney - Belle
  • Bundle Monster - New Year's Eve
  • Base and top coats
Other Supplies:

This was my first attempt at drip marbling, and I'm obsessed! To create this look:
  1. Create drip marble decals. Start with about 6 drops of black polish on an uber mat. Then add more drops of various golds, black glitter polishes, and gold glitter polish. While the polish is still wet, tilt and rotate the mat around so the polishes mix in a marbled patter. You will want to make a few of these so you have enough to cut up for each nail, and so you can get some difference designs.

  2. Cut sections to apply to each nail. First, add a layer of black polish, and stick the drip marble decals on the nail. Next, trim the excess with scissors or clippers. Use a nail art brush dipped in acetone to clean up the edges, and seal on with top coat.

  3. Leave the ring finger plain black, and glue a gold bow charm to the base of the nail. Here's a shot of my other hand too. The marbling comes out different all the time.
