Amazing Amethyst

Amazing Amethyst Nails

Another attempt at drip marbling. It is the easiest of the marbling options, but it definitely still takes some practice to get the right kind of swirls. I'm still getting the hang of it, but at least unlike water marbling, you can't really tell if you "mess up."

Polish Used:
  • Maybelline Color Show - Iced Queen
  • Loreal - Too Dimensional?
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Drama Sheen
  • Sinful Colors - Tokyo Pearl
  • Bundle Monster - Neve
  • Base and top coats
Other Supplies:
  • Uber mat

I haven't tried drip marbling on other surfaces other than the Uber mat (or other silicone mat), but I've seen other people use wax paper or plastic bags. To create this look:
  1. Create drip marble decals. Drip all different shades of purple polish on the Uber mat, then tilt and turn it until you get the desired swirls. Large "blobs" can be cut up to fit multiple nails. Make enough decals to cover all your nails.
  2. Once dry, cut the decals and apply to each nail. Apply a layer of polish to get it to stick, and then clean up the excess with clippers and a nail art brush dipped in acetone.
