Intergalactic unicorn nails...why not? Initially I was going to do something else with the galaxy nails, but I had to change my plans and this is the result (I fixed up the galaxy foil flop from the last post). Sometimes mistakes can be good.
I received these nail decals from Cut Out + Keep and DIY Nails in exchange for an honest review. How can you not loves these? Unicorns, hearts, crowns, aliens, stars, and PIZZA! The gold foil looks great against any color, and there are so many different types of designs that you can create with this one set. The decals themselves are easy to apply, they are super thin, and the best part...they double as temporary tattoos! Decals are perfect for anyone not quite ready for freehand painting, or if you just want something fast and easy.
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Black to Black
- Julep - Blakely
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Grape Going!
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Vigorous Violet
- Base and top coats
- DIY Nails - Pizza Queen Nailcals (textured gold)
- Gold nail tape
- Makeup sponge
This is a really fun and easy design. To create this look:
- Apply a black base color.
- Use a makeup sponge to dab on Blakely, Grape Going!, Vigorous Violet, and black.
- Apply the solid gold unicorn decal to the middle finger, and the crown to the ring finger.
- Use gold nail tape to create different designs on the nails. Add a single vertical line to the pinky, a horizontal line across the tip of the ring finger, and two diagonal lines on the thumb. For the index, use two strips of tape to create a "V" or chevron that goes to the tip, then add two horizontal lines across the center of the nail.
These decals are super fun. I can't wait to create something else. Pizza nails in the future :)
