Sharpie nails are the easiest way to get a watercolor look, and they are almost impossible to mess up.
Polish Used:
- Wet n Wild - French White Creme
- Wet n Wild Fergie - Ferguson Crest Syrah
- Base and top coats
- Sharpies - pink and purple
- Rubbing alcohol
- Nail art brush
- Wax paper
There are a couple different ways to do the Sharpie nail: (1) draw directly on your painted nail, then smear with rubbing alcohol on a nail art brush, or (2) use wax paper, which I will describe below. I used the wax paper because sometimes the Sharpie doesn't dissolve as much when drawn directly on the nail. To create this look:
- Apply the base colors - ring finger in a glittery purple, and the rest in white.
- Sharpie nails.
- Scribble some purple and pink Sharpie onto wax paper.
- Dip a nail art brush in rubbing alcohol and swirl on the Sharpie.
- Dab color on the nail and repeat the process added color until you get your desired look.
- Apply a clear top coat. Try not to drag the brush through the Sharpie or it will pull the color.
