Modern Romance

For a clean, modern, Valentine mani, pair hearts with geometric lines and a lot of black :)

Polish Used:

• Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Black to Black
• Wet N Wild - French White Creme
• Maybelline Color Show - Black In Mirrors
• Morgan Taylor - Don't Break My Corazon

Other Supplies:

• Nail tape
• Curved nail vinyl
• Nail art brush

Nail tape and vinyls can be used to create straight lines, which adds to the "modern" feel. But everything can also be freehanded for a looser look. To create this look:

1. Apply the base colors - thumb in black, index in red, middle in white, and pinky in black glitter. For the ring finger, use a nail art brush and black polish (I know it's red in the photo...I changed my mind at the end) to paint a deep chevron on the tip of the nail. Then, paint a heart within the lines of the chevron.
   
2. Use a curved nail vinyl to paint the top of the index finger black. 
3. Use nail tape to paint black lines on the middle finger. The tape should be evenly spaced, and quickly removed after applying the black polish.
   
4. Use a nail art brush to paint a small red heart near the base of the middle finger.
