Poisoned Apple

"One taste of the Poisoned Apple and the victim's eyes will close forever in the Sleeping Death." I could use a bite. I'm tired AF. :)

I received this dual-ended magnetic nail stick from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. There is a long rectangular magnet on one end, and a small round magnet on the other. The side of the rectangle magnet can be used to create lines, while the round magnet can create more fluid wave patterns. Having the magnets on a stick make them a little easier to hold...especially for the small round one. And these magnets are STRONG, so the designs show up well.

Polish Used:

• China Glaze - Cling On
• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Acrylic paint - red, black, white, brown
• Nail art brush
• Nail magnet

It is hard to capture in the photos, but the magnetic polish has a pearlescent cat-eye look that adds a lot of dimension to the nail. A nice spooky backdrop to the poison apple. To create this look:

1. Working one nail at a time, apply green magnetic polish, then hold the magnet over the nail. Alternate angles so each nail looks different. If you need more than one layer of polish, be sure to hold the magnet the same way so the dark and light portions stay the same.
   
2. Use acrylic paint and a nail art brush to paint the poisoned apple on the ring finger.
• Start by painting the red apple. 
• Then use white paint for the skeleton face on the top of the apple. Start with two ovals for the eyes, then the nose, teeth, and fill in the top. If you mess up on the shape of the eyes, and mouth, you can just touch it up with the red paint again.
• Use red paint to add the details on the "teeth" drips.
• Paint a brown stem on the apple
• Paint a white string around the stem.
• Use watered down black paint to add shadowing around the top and sides of the apple and in the eyes.
