Triple Tropical

I love thermal polishes, but man, they are hard to photograph.

I received this color-changing thermal gel polish from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. Forest Talk was a pleasant surprise because the warm "color" is clear! First, unlike normal thermals that just have two colors (warm and cold), this line of thermals has three colors - warm, cold, and REALLY cold. When I selected Forest Talk from the pictures online, it looked like the three colors were nude, green, and a super dark green. But I was surprised to discover that what I thought was nude, is actually translucent. Which makes me wonder how this would look over a light color. The polish itself goes on smoothly. Since the warm color is clear, it was hard to tell whether I needed more than one layer, but I did two coats just to be safe. Overall, it is a really fun polish, but I wish you could see the darkest color more often...but your hands have to be literally freezing.

Since there is a wide range of color shades with this polish, stamping with light or dark colors works well. To create this look:

1. Apply the base color with Forest Talk, and cure.
   
2. Use black polish to stamp various palm leaves on the thumb, index, ring, and pinky (BP-L047 for thumb and index, Lina plate for ring and pinky).
   
3. Use a nail art brush or vinyls to add a thick black stripe across the middle and ring fingers.
   
4. Apply a layer of matte top coat.
   
5. Use a nail art brush or vinyls to add a gold stripe inside of the black ones.
