I can't believe it has taken me this long to do a Hello Kitty mani! Growing up, I always had the latest pencil cases and stationary supplies from Sanrio.
Polish Used:
- Nail & Bone - Cher
- Wet N Wild - French White Creme
- Born Pretty Store stamping polishes - white, black, and dark pink
- Base and top coats
Other Supplies:
- Mundo de Unas stamping plate - AK Coleccion 07 (Hello Kitty heads)
- Born Pretty Store stamping plate - BP-L015 (flowers)
- Clear jelly stamper
- Pink pearls
- Black pearls
- White cabochon bow
- Krazy Glue
- Dotting tool
This tutorial uses the reverse stamping decal method, but if you are confident transferring the design from the stamper onto sticky polish, you can modify. To create this look:
- Apply the base colors - thumb in white and the rest in pink.
- Stamp white daisies on the index finger, then add a pink pearl to the center of each flower.
- Use the reverse stamping method to add Hello Kitty heads to the middle finger.
- Stamp the image in black.
- Use a dotting tool to fill in the bows with a bright pink, and her heads with white.
- Apply a layer of top coat over the whole image to create a decal.
- Once dry, peel the decal off the stamper.
- Apply a layer of top coat on the middle finger, then place the decal. Be sure not to press too firmly, as this can smudge the images.
- Trim the excess, clean up/melt the edges with a nail art brush dipped in acetone, and seal on with top coat.
- Glue a white cabochon bow on the ring finger.
- Add a black pearl to the base of the pinky, and two black pears to the base of the thumb.
