The Original

Just because the weather is cold and dreary, doesn't mean your nails have to be too.

The Original is a soft nude creme from the Opulent Obsession Winter 2019 collection by Artistic Nail Design. This is a one of six colors to add some glam to those winter nails. This is a nice middle range nude so it will look nice on a lot of different skin tones. At first, I thought it was a little light on me, but the more I wore it, the more I liked it. It has a nice opacity, so you could do one coat for a more sheer effect, or two for a little thicker coverage. Even with two coats, it is not completely opaque, but I like it that way so I didn't do a third.

Other Supplies:

• Nail vinyls
• Gold nail tape
• UV/LED lamp

Silver and gold metallics always pair nicely with nudes. I had a few different ideas of what to do, but ultimately I drew some inspiration from @fleuryrosenails to do a chevron with some nail tape. To create this look:

1. Apply the base color using The Original.
2. Use nail vinyls to paint a gold shimmer chevron tip on each nail.
3. Add a piece of gold nail tape vertically (from base to tip) to each nail.
