Pikachu

Pokémon was a little after my time so I didn't grow up watching it, but I have seen it.  And of course I am a fan of Pikachu...how can you not be?

This vibrant red is another fun polish from the Essie Winter Collection, compliments of Salon Supply Store.  The warm hue makes for a brighter red that really pops!

Polish Used:

• Essie - Altitude Attitude
• Wet n Wild - French White Creme
• Maybelline Color Show - Onyx Rush
• Bundle Monster - Sunshine Yellow
• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Nail art brush

This requires some more advanced freehand painting for Pikachu, but the poké ball is pretty easy and could be an accent nail by itself if you are new to freehand.  To create this look:

1. Apply the base color - middle in white, the rest in red.
   
2. Use a nail art brush to paint Pikachu on the middle finger.
• Start with black polish to paint the outline.
• Fill in the outline with yellow polish.
• Use black again to fix some of the lines if needed, and add Pikachu's cheek circles, eyes, and mouth.
• Fill in the cheeks with red, and add white highlight dots to the eyes.
  
3. Use a nail art brush to paint a poké ball on the ring finger.
• Paint half of the nail with white polish.  This will be the bottom half of the ball.
• Add a black stripe across the nail and a black circle in the center.
• Add a white circle inside of the black circle.
