Sultry Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the ninth astrological sign, and the sun transitions to this sign today!

If you haven't seen them, NCLA recently launched their "What's Your Sign?" collection, featuring a polish for every astrological sign. The line was featured in the latest issue of Nail It! Magazine. My sign is Sagittarius, so NCLA honored me with this fun little treat (it comes in a cute little black velvet bag too)! Purple is the Sagittarian color, which is a combination of blue (stability) and red (energy). The color symbolizes the romance, luxury, power, and ambitious behavior of the sign. It is funny because I don't wear purple polish that often, but I buy it all the time (I probably have close to 40 bottles of the color). I guess my inner Sagittarian is drawn to the color. :)

The Sagittarius NCLA polish is a nice cool purple, with a lot of blue undertones. It is a nice middle range hue, so it is not too light, but not too dark. It goes on smooth with full coverage in a few coats.

Sagittarius is the archer, which is often symbolized by the bow and arrow. We are also straightforward...also like an arrow :) To create this look:

1. Apply the base color using Sagittarius.
2. Add a coat of Too Dimensional? to the middle finger.
3. Use white stamping polish to stamp the arrows (BM-606) on the ring finger. A nice gold would look nice too.
