I'm With The DJ

Crave the Rave with Artistic Nail Design's Summer 2018 Collection! These sheer neon polishes really pop in the daylight and glow under the black light.

There are six polishes in collection, and they all scream summer! Some are almost blinding under the black light, but you can't say they aren't fun. I just wish I had somewhere to go that actually has black lights. I'm With The DJ is a sheer neon purple. Since it is neon, it has a more magenta look, but I actually like it better that way. This is probably my favorite color in the collection because in normal lighting it is a nice bright magenta, but then it glows pink under the black lights. It is nice because then for normal wear, it isn't so neon and doesn't jump out as much.

I also received these gold chain embellishments from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. There are twelve, 10-centimeter pieces of different chains. There are various size chain links, ball chains, and even one with rhinestones! You will need metal pliers to cut the chain links, but this allows you to customize the length of chain. Depending on how much the chain can curve, some chains are better vertically from base to tip, versus horizontally across the nail. But all chains can be adhered with nail glue or gel top coat.

Metal chains are one of the more difficult embellishments to apply. They move around a lot, and you have to make sure all the links are turned the same way. But once applied, they sure look amazing. To create this look:

1. Apply the base colors - middle and ring fingers in white, the rest in black.
   
   
2. Apply two coats of I'm With The DJ to the white nails. Since these neon polishes are sheer, painting them over a white base color really helps the color pop.
   
   
3. Stamp black cassette tapes on the purple nails.
   
   
4. Add a purple speckled stud and a gold round stud to the base of the index finger, and a gold round stud on the base of the pinky finger.
   
   
5. Glue a chain down the center of the ring finger.
