Festive Fashionista

I'm really enjoying the red and black holiday nails, so here's another one for you.

Keeping with the Decked Out Dandy theme of Artistic Nail Design's new Holiday/Winter 2020 collection I received, this mani features some fashionable houndstooth with gold stud accents. The black holiday nail is inspired by @angoranails.

Polish Used:

• Artistic Colour Gloss - REDwardian
• Artistic Colour Gloss - Swag

• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Acrylic paint - white and red
• Nail art brush
• Dotting tool
• Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-XL01 (houndstooth)
• Stamper
• Gold studs

Houndstooth is a nice alternative to all the plaid nails you see this time of year. To create this look:

1. Apply the base colors - pinky and ring fingers in black and the rest in red. Cure.
   
2. Use black stamping polish to stamp a houndstooth pattern to the index and middle fingers.
   
3. The holiday accent nail can be modified depending on the length of your nail and what elements you want to be highlighted. But the basics are white holly leaves with red berries (acrylic paint), gold foliage, and a few white snow dots.
   
4. Add a gold stud to the base of all nails except the accent nail. Two studs on the thumb.
   
5. Apply gel top coat and cure.
