Icy Indigo

Christmas has come early. I've got my trees and decorations up, presents are 90% purchased and wrapped, and now the holiday and Christmas nails are beginning.

I was lucky enough to be gifted The Big Bang, Holiday Winter 2021 Collection by Artistic Nail Design. "A galactic set of shades that are edgy, eye-catching and guaranteed to bring to life the out of this world confidence of nail lovers everywhere." One of the many things I love about holiday collections and holiday nails in general are the bright, crazy designs. You can get away with a lot with a holiday themed mani.

Today's mani uses Queen of the Cosmos, which is an indigo pearl. It is a shimmery blue, but you can see the hints of purple from different angles. 

Polish Used:

• Artistic Colour Revolution - Queen of the Cosmos
• Born Pretty Store - white stamping polish
• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Creative Shop 37 stamping plate - snowflakes
• Clear stamper
• Clear rhinestones
• Artistic Chrome Pen - Pink Opal

I've seen people stamp using chrome powder, so I'm giving it a try. To create this look:

1. Apply the base color with Queen of the Cosmos.
2. Apply the pink opal chrome pen to your rubber stamper.
3. Use white stamping polish for the snowflakes, and stamp using the chrome powder covered stamper.
4. Once dry, brush off the extra chrome powder that transfers over the blue (or leave if you like the iridescent sheen).
5. For a little extra sparkle, add a clear rhinestone to the center of some of the snowflakes on each nail.
