Pink-A-Colada

Summer is here! Bring on the bold, bright, beach party nails. Someone please take me to the beach.

I received the Sippin' Pretty collection by Artistic Nail Design, so let the summer manis begin. This collection is bringing the bold summer vibes with bright colors and a theme based on tropical drinks...yes, please! 🌴🍹🥥 I had to start with Pink-A-Colada, a neon pink crème. This pink really pops and the name is so cute. 

Polish Used:

• Artistic Colour Revolution - Pink-A-Colada
• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Gold leaf
• Black acrylic paint
• Nail art brush
• Gel-On Xtensions - Medium Round (optional)

I had to use some Gel-On Xtensions for this mani. I hate cleaning because it 100% results in at least one broken nail (I'm an aggressive scrubber). But fakes nails save the day, so I can have nice tall palm trees. To create this look:

1. Apply the base color with Pink-A-Colada.
2. Working one nail at a time, apply a layer of clear top coat and gently lay a piece of gold leaf diagonally across the base of the nail. Regular nail foil or chrome powder could also work.
3. Using black acrylic paint and a fine nail art brush, paint a palm tree on each nail.
   
4. Seal with top coat.
