Still working with the Sippin' Pretty collection I received from Artistic Nail Design, I decided to pair the teal and orange crème polishes. Keeping with the tropical summer theme, I added some Polynesian flare, and the acrylic powder gives a sandy feel.
Polish Used:
- Artistic Colour Revolution - Tropic Like It's Hot
- Artistic Colour Revolution - Bellini Bikini
- Artistic Colour Gloss - Bride
- Wet n Wild - French White Crème
- Base coat
- Gel top coat - regular and matte
Other Supplies:
- UV/LED lamp
- Nail art brush
- Acrylic paint - black, white, red, yellow, blue
- Silicone mat
- Buildable gel
- Bundle Monster stamping plate - Polynesia BM-XL112
- Clear stamper
- Clear acrylic powder
- Nail glue
- Gold seashell charm
Painting each nail with a different design takes a bit longer, but it is totally worth it. To create this look:
- Tiki Nail
- Apply an orange base color.
- Stamp a tiki pattern with blue polish. Since the polish I used is not stamping polish, I used a nail art brush to paint over the pattern a few times. Then seal on with top coat.
- Apply matte top coat.
- Use a nail art brush to apply buildable gel over the pattern.
- Marble Nail
- Apply a white base color.
- On a silicone mat, apply stripes of blue, orange, and white polish.
- Use a nail art brush or orange stick to zig zag through the polish.
- Use a wide nail art brush to "scoop" across the polish.
- Keeping the brush as pictured (so the polish will be on top of the brush), drag the brush across the nail.
- Tribal Hook Nail
- Apply a blue base color.
- Stamp the tribal hook design with orange polish. As with the other stamped nail, since this is not stamping polish, I painted over the design with a nail art brush. Seal on with top coat.
- Apply matte top coat.
- Seashell Nail
- Apply an orange base color.
- Apply gel top coat, and sprinkle with clear acrylic powder before curing.
- Glue a gold seashell at the base of the nail.
- Humu Musubi Nail
- Apply a blue base color.
- Use a nail art brush and acrylic paint to paint a humu musubi. Design is by Sumo Fish.
