Loco Leopard

Gradient Leopard Nails

This mani is giving me Lisa Frank vibes.

Still working my way through the My Choice Spring 2023 collection by Artistic Nail Design I received. I chose the pink, purple, and marigold polishes for this design to create a sunset gradient. And I'm still on a bit of a leopard print kick, so I had to add some spots on top.

Polish Used:

  • Artistic Colour Revolution - Watch Me (marigold crème)
  • Artistic Colour Revolution - Cut To The Chase (light purple/pink crème)
  • Artistic Colour Revolution - Got My Attention (purple neon crème)
  • Base coat
  • Matte top coat

Other Supplies:

  • Makeup sponge
  • Nail art brush
  • Liquid latex (optional)

I usually don't do vertical gradients because I don't have wide nails, let alone do more than two colors, but I really like how this turned out and will have to do it again. It also looks great shiny or matte. To create this look:

  1. Optional prep step: Apply liquid latex around your nails.
  2. Using a wet makeup sponge, apply yellow, pink, and purple polish on the sponge and dab on each nail to create a vertical gradient. Building the opacity will take several layers, so keep rotating which nail you dab the polish on so it can dry between dabbing.

  3. Use a nail art brush to paint purple leopard spots on each nail.

  4. Apply matte top coat.

  1. Obsessed with this nail art design! I'm trying to recreate this for a night out with friends, but I'm having trouble finding the perfect leopard polish. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've got a few hours to kill before I need to get back to my law books - dissertation writing is no joke! Speaking of which, I am considering hiring a professional law dissertation writing uk service to help me edit my work. But for now, let's talk nails - what are your favorite leopard polish combos?
