Moody Marble

Drip Marble Nails

I told you there would be marble nails coming, and here they are!

These beautiful colors are from the My Choice Spring 2023 collection by Artistic Nail Design that I was gifted. Whenever a collection is "perfect for pairing" or "layering" I automatically think of marbling since it mixes colors together in an artistic way. And it looks super fancy despite being easy to create.

Polish Used:

  • Artistic Colour Revolution - Got My Attention (purple neon crème)
  • Artistic Colour Revolution - Speak Loud (light blue crème)
  • Dance Legend - Spot It White
  • Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

  • Silicone mat
  • Nail scissors
  • Nail art brush

I love adding spotting polish to drip marbles because it creates a more "webby" look than a traditional marble. The effect is unique and really changes how the marble turns out depending on how much the spotting polish spreads. To create this look:

  1. Make drip marble decals on a silicone mat. For each decal, add a few drops of purple polish, with two drops of light blue and two drops of white spotting polish on top. I added a couple drops of clear coat on the sides to create some negative space. Then tilt the mat back and forth and side to side to create the marbled design. Once you've created enough for each nail, let them dry. (They should not be tacky to touch, and should be able to peel nicely from the mat.)
  2. Working one nail at a time, apply a layer of top coat, then lightly press a decal onto the nail. Trim the excess with some scissors, then use a nail art brush dipped in acetone to clean up the edges. Then apply top coat to seal it on.
