Kiss Me

Lipstick Nail Art

Just something quick and simple today.  Any nail art beginner can create this fun flirty look.  One of the many things I love about nail charms is that they really upgrade a look and all you have to do is glue them on.

Lipstick CharmI received these lipstick charms from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review.  They are so fun and cute!  They are a little large for my short nails (the charms are 13mm long), but it still fits without any overhang.  Made of alloy metal, they are great quality, very sturdy, the colors are vibrant, and I love the rhinestone details.  Only 3 charms come in the set, but it is not an issue since you would only use one charm at a time anyway.  These are perfect for any girly, flirty, or even a Barbie nail design.

Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Pink Blink
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Rapid Red
  • Gold polish (no name and no brand)
  • Julep - gold glitter polish (not sure of the name)
  • Base and top coats
Other Supplies:

If you don't have a dotting tool, you can use a bobby pin or the head of a pin (just don't poke yourself).  To create this look:

  1. Apply the base colors - pinky in gold and the rest in pink.

  2. Use a dotting tool to add red dots to the middle finger.  Start with a vertical line of dots down the center of the nail, then work your way outward, dotting in the space between the dots.

  3. Add two clear rhinestones to the base of the index finger.  This mirrors the two rhinestones on the lipstick charm.
