My Beating Heart

I saw these flashing nail art elements, and thought I should try it out.  I went with the heart shaped sticker and some +Bundle Monster stamping for the letters.  I kept the design simple to let the heart shine (literally and figuratively).

I received these LED flashing nail stickers from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review.  I chose the set with the white flashing light (there is also a red one and a blue one).  The sticker pack comes with hearts, flowers, bows, butterflies, and snowflakes, so the design possibilities are endless.  The instructions on the back of the product are not in English, but they can be found on the product page.  This product is definitely better suited for long nails. The part that houses the LED light is quite large, so I had to cut off a lot of the sticker part to make it fit on my short nails.  As a result, it wouldn't lie flat, which is why the sticker heart also would not adhere properly to my nail.  Overall, I like the flashing light effect, and it is very fun for parties.

You can make this design flashier if you want, or leave it simple.  Initially I was planning on stamping the bird behind all the letters in gold, but decided it might be too busy.  But layering stamped designs can be really cool.  To create this look:

1. Apply a white base color.
   
2. Use black stamping polish to stamp letters (BM-426) on the index, ring, and pinky fingers - "L" on the index, "V" on the ring, and "E" on the pinky.  The heart sticker will represent the "O" in "love."  I also stamped a bird (BM-401) on the thumb, but you could leave it plain.
   
3. Apply the flashing LED light to the middle finger.  Cover every part of the LED device, except the light, with white polish.  Once dry, apply the heart sticker.  A pictorial can be found on the product page.
