Another DC Comics nail design, inspired by playing cards from World Market. Last time I did Wonder Woman, and now it is Batman! Of the DC Comics, Batman is my favorite. I always liked that he was just a normal person (well, "normal" in the sense that he didn't have superpowers), but he was still a superhero.
Polish Used:
- Sinful Colors - Cinderella
- Forever 21 - blue
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Lightening
- Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Black Noir
- Base and top coats
- Born Pretty Store stamping plate - BPL-025 (bats)
- Bundle Monster stamping plate - Time Machine BM-XL133
- Rubber stamper
- Nail art brush
- Acrylic paint - pink, brown, black, blue, and white
The Batman nail is all freehand, so it can be difficult depending on your level of skill. But all the other nails are stamped and fairly easy. To create this look:
- Apply a light blue base color. Cinderella by Sinful Colors has a little shimmer to it, but a flat blue would look nice too. I chose the color to match the playing cards.
- Use acrylic paint to paint Batman's face on the middle finger.
- Start with blue to paint his mask
- Mix pink and brown to get a flesh color for his face.
- Use black to paint all the lining and shadows.
- Paint white eyes.
- Use a darker blue to stamp the bats (BPL-025) on all the other nails.
- For the "Pow!" bubble (BM-XL133), use the reverse stamping method - stamping in black, then filling in the letters with yellow - then apply to the ring finger.
Here's a shot with the card that inspired the design.
And a couple more shots for fun (I couldn't decide which ones to post).
I love Batman and these are super cute. <3
