Attending a masquerade ball is STILL on my bucket list...apparently they don't come around too often. Those masks are just so cool! I'm done a couple masquerade nails, but today's mani uses stickers!
I received the mask stickers from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. If you have never tried stickers, they will change your life. They are the quicker, cleaner version of water transfer decals. Just keep in mind that stickers are thicker than decals, so you'll need a few coats of top coat to smooth it out. This particular sheet of stickers has black lace masks of all different styles and sizes - some are large enough to stretch across the entire nail, and some a small enough to fit a few on each nail. Another fun embellishment used in this mani is the 3D Dimension Nails sticker. I used the Notorious pattern here, which is a spiky and edgy. You can cut the sticker to any length, and then just peel the backing off, stick it on your nail, and paint it with polish. It looks SO COOL after it is painted. I didn't want to take it off! They have a couple different designs, but this is probably my favorite.
Polish Used:
- Ulta - Little Black Dress
- Bonita - pearlescent white
- Wet n Wild Fergie - Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night
- Maybelline Color Show Brocades - Black in Mirrors
- Base and top coats
- Masquerade stickers
- Dimension Nails 3D Nail Art - Notorious
This design uses a couple different stickers and some glitter. To create this look:
- Add a 3D Dimension sticker to the ring finger. It just peels and sticks to your plain nail, and then cover everything with polish.
- Apply the base colors - index and middle in a pearlescent white, and the rest in Little Black Dress.
- Use Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night to add black glitter to the tip of the index finger, and Black in Mirrors on the pinky.
- Add a mask sticker to the middle finger.
