Full Moon

Full Moon Nail Art

Day 9 of the #BundleMonster #MonsterScream challenge is "full moon."  The "moon" on my nails is actually the Earth stamp from Bundle Monster's nail plate, but when painted white and grey, it works as a moon.

You might also notice that the smaller bat on top is upside down. :(  The small bat didn't stamp when I did the two bats the first time, so I had to stamp it by itself.  Unfortunately, I did not pay close attention to the direction of the bat, and it was going to be too much trouble to fix.  We'll just pretend that particular bat is doing a barrel roll.

Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Deep Purple
  • Ulta - Little Black Dress
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Angelic White
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Wet Cement
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Black Noir
Other Supplies:
  • Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-408 (earth/moon)
  • Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM13 (bats)
  • Rubber stamper
  • Dotting tool
  • Makeup sponge
  • Base and top coats

To create this lunar look:
  1. Apply a purple base color.

  2. Use the wet sponge method to create a black and purple gradient using Deep Purple and Little Black Dress.

  3. Add the moon (BM-408) to the middle finger.  Create the moon using the reverse stamping method (see Stamping 101), stamping in white, then filling in with grey.

  4. Stamp the bats (BM13) on top of the moon.
