Witches Brew

Witches Brew

Double, Double Toil and Trouble.  Fire burn, and caldron bubble.  Day 23 of the #BundleMonster #MonsterScream challenge is "potions."  Something wicked is definitely brewing with this mani.  The iridescent purple base color sets the perfect background for the poisonous potions bubbling over.

Nail Polish
Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Drama Sheen
  • Wet n Wild - Black Crème
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Kelp Out
  • Ulta - Envy
  • Sephora Blasted - Blasted Opalescent
Other Supplies:
  • Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-H08 (cauldron)
  • Rubber stamper
  • Nail art brush
  • Dotting tool
  • Iridescent and green rhinestones

To create this look:
  1. Apply a purple base color.  Drama Sheen by Sally Hansen has a nice iridescent quality to it that is perfect for the potions theme.

  4. Use a dotting tool and Kelp Out to create bubbles bubbling out of the cauldron.

  5. Mix Envy with clear top coat to make it sheer, then dot darker bubbles over the existing ones.

  6. Apply light green and larger iridescent rhinestones to represent more bubbles.

  8. Apply a coat of Blasted Opalescent to the ring finger.  It is hard to see in the photo, but it is a very sparkly purple crackle.
