Wicked Witch

Wicked Witch Nail Art

Day 16 of the #BundleMonster #MonsterScream challenge is "witches."  No witch is more notorious than the Wicked Witch of the West.  For these nails, I did a mix of Wicked and The Wizard of Oz.  My Bundle Monster product element is the iridescent rhinestone stud encrusted nail.

Nail Polish
 Polish Used:
  • Sephora by OPI - SE016 (212)
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Kelp Out
  • Wet n Wild - Black Crème
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
  • Wet n Wild - Red Red
  • Wet n Wild Fergie - No Place Like Home
Other Supplies:
  • Red rhinestone
  • 2mm iridescent rhinestone studs
  • Krazy glue
  • Masking tape
  • Nail art brush
  • Base and top coats

To create this wicked look:
  1. Apply the base colors - thumb and pinky in black, index in Sephora black glitter, middle in Kelp Out, and ring in white.

  2. Use a nail art brush and black polish to paint the wicked witch on the middle finger.  This is the image from the Broadway show Wicked.  Start by outlining the face, then the hair, body, and hat.  Use red and black polish for the lips.

  3. Use masking tape or nail vinyls to create thick stripes on the ring finger with black polish.  These are going to be the witch's stockings.

  4. For the ruby slipper, paint the tip, curving up the sides, in Red Red.  Then coat with No Place Like Home (so perfect for this), and add a red rhinestone to the center of the shoe.

  5. Glue iridescent rhinestones all over the pinky nail.  The iridescent color looks dark and magical like the wicked witch herself.
