Captain America

CAptain America Nail Art

Today is Independence Day, and no one loves America like the captain.  These are another design using the Super Hero plates by Aiyoohehe.  I went with a red, white, and blue color scheme for obvious reasons.

Nail Polish

Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Rapid Red
  • Maybelline Color Show Street Art - Wild At Heart
  • Wet n Wild - French White Crème
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Angelic White
  • Julep - Lacey
  • Butter London - Diamond Geezer
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Iced Silver
  • Base and top coats
Other Supplies:
  • hēhē stamping plate - Super Hero 001 (Captain America)
  • Rubber stamper

One of the many things I love about these plates, is that all you need is basic stamping to make them amazing.  To create this look:
  1. Apply the base colors - thumb in blue, index in red, middle and pinky in white, and ring finger in silver.

  2. Use white stamping polish to stamp the shield on the index finger.  Use red polish to stamp the star pattern on the ring finger, and the dots on the pinky.  Lastly, use silver polish to stamp the eagle on the thumb.

  3. Use red and blue polish to stamp Captain America on the middle finger.  You can either swirl the polish in the center, or swipe twice overlapping the polish to create a gradient. (See in next photo).
  4. Use blue polish to stamp the Captain America symbol on the ring finger, and the dots on the pinky. You want the dots on the pinky to be slightly off so they overlap.  The index finger should have the postal stamp lines stamped in silver, then the handwriting stamped in blue.

  5. Add some red confetti polish to the thumb.

Hope you all have a Happy 4th of July!  Fire up those BBQs and set off some fireworks (if they are legal in your area).
