I've been meaning to try the Sharpie mani for a while, and the whimsical water color effect matched perfectly with these decals.

Polish Used:
- Wet n Wild - French White Creme
- Base and top coats
- Feather decals
- Sharpies - purple, blue, pink, teal
- Rubbing alcohol
- Nail art brush
The Sharpie color diminishes a little once top coat is applied, so keep that in mind when deciding how dark to go. To create this look:
- Apply a white base color.
- Add Sharpie "art" to each nail. There are a couple different ways to do the Sharpie mani. 1) You can scribble Sharpie all over your nail, and then dab and blend with a nail art brush dipped in rubbing alcohol. Or 2) you can scribble Sharpie on wax paper or a plastic bag, then use a nail art brush soaked in rubbing alcohol to liquefy the color and dab it on the nail. I went with the second option for a lighter, more watercolor effect. Just work one color at a time, and you can always go back. Once dry, apply a layer of clear coat. The top coat will lighten and pull the colors a little, so do not drag the brush across the nail. Use a lot of top coat so you can "float" the polish over the Sharpie.
- Apply feather decals like any other water transfer.
