First post of the new year!!! It is still winter, so snowflake nails are still appropriate :) And black and white manis are one of my favorites!
I received this nail glitter from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I was mostly sold by the name...Mermaid Nail Glitter...yes please! There are eight different colors, but I went with the white since it can be used over all colors the best. They are described as "powders" but it is more like micro glitter. As such, you don't have to apply it with the little sponge brush, but you can just pour it on. I still have not mastered the art of applying glitters and powders, so I'm not sure I really like how this one turned out. But I think it is just issues with my own application as other customer photos on the website look much better. I may have to give this one another try. But overall, it is a nice glitter, and very iridescent.

Originally, I wanted to stamp silver snowflakes over the glitter nails, but it was too hard to see. Enter black polish to the rescue :) To create this look:
- Apply a white base color.
- Add a layer of top coat, and dab on some glitter. Then seal on with another layer of top coat. You may need a couple layers of top coat, as the glitter can be a little bumpy.
- Use black stamping polish to stamp black snowflakes.
- Glue a black bow cabochon to the base of the ring finger.
