Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Diamond Nails

Diamonds are a girl's best friend :)  Day 23 of the Bundle Monster Challenge is "Sparkles."  Sparkly nails usually involve lots of glitter and crystals...which I still used.  But part of the challenge is to use Bundle Monster's products, so I found a couple nail stamping plates featuring diamonds and my creation was born.  Diamonds are the quintessential "sparkly thing" all of us girls want and love.

Polish Used:
  • Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Color - French White Crème
  • Wet N Wild Shine Nail Color - Black Crème
  • Miss Kiss - Chrome Crazy
  • Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish Enamel - Queen of Beauty
Other Supplies:

I wanted a black and white look, with silver as the pop and shine factor.  The color scheme is simple, but striking and chic at the same time.  To get this look:
  1. Apply a base coat.  I'm using white, silver, and black for base colors - index and ring finger in white, middle and pinky in silver, and thumb in black.  The pinky has a couple coats of Queen of Beauty by Sinful Colors on top.
  2. Stamp the large and small diamond designs on the two white nails using black polish.
  3. For the thumb, apply silver nail tape in a diamond-like pattern.
  4. Stripe the pinky using 3 strips of nail tape and black polish.
  5. Now for the wow factor...the crystal encrusted nail!  One by one, glue clear crystals onto the middle finger until the whole nail is covered.  I started from the base of the nail, but then the top can be iffy.  Unless by magic you have nails of the perfect length, there is probably going to be a little empty space either at the base or tip of your nail depending on which end you started from.

Everything is sealed with top coat, EXCEPT the crystal encrusted nail (that one is optional).  I didn't use top coat since it dulls the crystals a little...but then they don't stay on as well.  So it's a toss up and the choice is yours.  If you want the crystals to stay on longer than a day or two, use top coat.
