The Lacquer Legion is a group on Facebook that posts a nail challenge every month. This month's theme is "On Holiday." This holiday inspired theme includes showcasing landmarks from around the globe, favorite vacation spots, summer activities, etc. I chose Paris! #nailart
A couple summers ago I was supposed to go there for work with my whole family. It ended up falling through, so I have yet to see the Eiffel Tower in its full glory in person. It is a vacation I would still very much like to go on after researching all the sites I wanted to see. The Louvre, Notre Dame, and endless croissants, café, and macaroons...sign me up.
If you have a summer-inspired mani, go to their Facebook page today and post a pic with the hastag "LLOnHoliday. If you missed this challenge, don't worry, there will be another one next month that you can participate in.

Paris is always associated with romance and fluffy French poodles, so I chose pink, black, and white for my color scheme. Here's how to create this look:
- Apply a base color. I'm using Precious by L.A. Girl. It is a light pink polish with glitter. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be a textured polish, but it looks like a sand or sugar polish. Since that's not the look I wanted for this design, I painted a couple coats of clear polish to smooth it out.
- Stamp the girl and the Eiffel Tower with black polish.
- For the striped nail: apply 5 strips of nail tape, paint with a thick coat of white polish, then remove the tape. Cover with top coat to fill in the spaces before stamping. Once dry, stamp the lace design on the tip with black polish (not shown).
- Finally, add some black dots to the pinky with a dotting tool.
