April Showers

...Bring May flowers.  Although here in California, we are still in a bit of a drought and haven't had much rain this month like we normally do.  But even though it feels closer to summer than spring, this little umbrella stamped design was too cute to pass up.

I received this stamping plate from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review.  The plate features and array of feather designs, bamboo, swirls, and an umbrella.  The designs down the middle of the plate are shorter than the ones on the side, but that isn't an issue for me since I have short nails.  I like that the designs are wide enough to cover your entire nail, which can be a problem with other plates I've used.  Overall, the designs are beautiful and stamp well.  This is a great stamping plate to add to your collection.  I can't wait to try all the designs.

• Rubber stamper
• Clear teardrop rhinestones

This is another pretty simple design to create.  If you know how to stamp, then this will be super easy.  If you are new to stamping, this only uses basic, regular stamping (nothing fancy), so it is still pretty easy.  To create this look:

1. Apply the base colors - middle in Navy Fleet and the rest in Sombre Overcast.
   
2. Apply a layer of silver crackle polish to the pinky.
   
3. Apply a layer of silver glitter polish to the index finger.
   
4. Add three teardrop rhinestones down the middle of the ring finger.
   
5. Use Iced Silver to stamp the umbrella image on the middle finger.
