This floral lace design is perfect for the spring season. I paired a pale baby blue polish with a vibrant orange for a nice contrast, and added some gold detailing.
I received this lace pattern stamping plate from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. I LOVE all the designs. So far I've only tried two of the lace patterns, but both stamped nicely and the plate doesn't have any issues functionality wise. In total, there are six different lace patterns. The designs are nice and wide, so it is easy to cover the entire nail with the stamped design. One of the great things about having such a wide design, is that you can stamp different sections of the design, or rotate it, so each nail looks a little different. If you love the look of lace, you won't be disappointed with this plate.

Polish Used:
- Forever 21 - Baby Blue
- Julep - Sydney
- Base and top coats
- Born Pretty Store stamping plate - Y003 (lace)
- Rubber stamper
- Gold striping tape
- Round gold studs
- Makeup sponge
For this look, I wanted the lace pattern to disappear into the gradient, but my nails are a bit short, so once I added the tape, it cut off the gradient a little. This would definitely work better for longer nails, or if you have short nails like me, maybe make the gradient go up a little higher. To create this look:
- Apply a light blue base color. Baby Blue by Forever 21 is a very faint blue, but it is perfect for a hint of color.
- Use a wet makeup sponge to create a gradient with Baby Blue and Sydney on the tips of the nails. Apply a layer of top coat before stamping since the sponge can leave a little texture to the nails.
- Use a bright orange polish to stamp the floral lace design (top right design on plate Y003) on each nail. Sydney by Julep isn't a "stamping polish," but it stamps beautifully since it is very opaque.
- Add a strip of gold nail tape across each nail to create a French tip look.
- Add two gold round studs on the ring finger. The studs should be on the tape line, and a little off center so they are more on the side of the nail than center.
Here is a plain black and gold stamping of one of the other lace designs.
