Happy Easter everyone! Hope you are having a fun filled day with family and friends. I decided to do a more "grown up" look for my Easter nails this year. The black accents over the pastel blue really give the design a more classic feel, and I'm always a fan of negative space.
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Breezy Blues
- Wet n Wild - Black Crème
- Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Black Noir
- Base and top coats
- Born Pretty Store stamping plate - BP-16 (rabbit)
- Rubber stamper
- Nail vinyls/guides - chevron, zigzag, and French tip
- Nail striping tape
- Dotting tool
This design may look tricky, but it uses a lot of tape and vinyls to create the patterns, so it is quite simple. To create this look:
- Use Breezy Blues to paint the entire index and ring fingers. Use a chevron vinyl on the pinky, and a French tip vinyl on the thumb (turned so it curves upward instead of the normal downward shape), with Breezy Blues. And use a French tip vinyl with black polish on the middle finger, to create a normal French tip.
- Add some black details to the nails. Using a vinyl, paint a black chevron on top of the blue chevron on the pinky. Use three zigzag vinyls to paint two black zigzag lines on the index finger. And finally, use a dotting tool to create two dotted lines along the edge of the thumb design.
- Use striping tape to paint blue lines across the middle finger.
- Use black stamping polish to stamp the rabbit (BP-16) onto the ring finger.
