La Muerte

I recently watched The Book of Life, so I decided to paint some nails featuring La Muerte.  Like most of my acrylic paint creations, this isn't a real tutorial since it involves a lot of freehand painting.

Polish Used:

• Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Navy Fleet
• Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Dive In
• Base and top coats

Other Supplies:

• Acrylic paint
• Nail art brush
• Makeup sponge

This is mostly a tutorial for the background color of the nails, which look amazing by itself.  I actually rocked the nails for a couple days before I painted La Muerte on them because I loved them so much.  To create this look:

1. Apply a navy blue base color.
   
2. Use a makeup sponge to dab on aqua polish.
   
3. Paint La Muerte using acrylic paint.
