Back to the holiday manis! A pink background with these bright white polka dot trees, creates a whimsical winter wonderland.
I received the bright round confetti from Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. The confetti has a mix of 1mm-2mm circles in blue, green, pink, purple, orange, and yellow. Overall, I like it. The colors are cute, and there is a lot of confetti in the little container. My only complaint is that the confetti is a bit transparent, so I don't know how it would look over darker colors, but over white it looks great. Some of the confetti is stuck together, so you just have to be sure you are only applying one piece of confetti. If you don't, the top coat will separate the confetti and then you'll have two overlapping pieces of confetti where you wanted one. In both these designs, I placed the confetti using an orange stick, but I'm sure it would look great sprinkled on randomly as well. If you go the sprinkling route, just make sure to press all the confetti flat so you don't have any sticking up. This confetti is pretty stiff, so any lifted edges will easily get caught.
Polish Used:
- NYC - Preppy Pink
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
- Round multicolor confetti
- Star rhinestones
- Masking tape
This design reminds me of a Barbie Christmas with all the pink. To create this look:
- Apply a bright pink base color.
- Using masking tape, block off a triangle shape for the Christmas trees. Paint the open section with white polish and remove the tape.
- Add polka dot confetti to the trees.
- Add a star rhinestone to the tops of each tree, and seal everything with top coat.
