"Ohana means family. Family means on one gets left behind or forgotten." I'm on my way to Disneyland for a family vacation, so I decided to paint some Lilo and Stitch nails.
The design is inspired by +TotallyCoolNails, but I changed mine up a little bit. I'm practicing my fine lining skills, so I have a little more detailed Stitch, and I used some +Bundle Monster stamping for the hibiscus and leaves.
Polish Used:
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Rapid Red
- Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Angelic White
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Breezy Blue
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Navy Fleet
- Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Pink Blink
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - White On
- Wet n Wild - Black Crème
- Base and top coats
- Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-507 (hibiscus)
- Rubber stamper
- Nail art brush
- Red studs
Although Stitch is pretty simple, the fine lining makes this an advanced design. To create this look:
- Apply the base colors - thumb and middle in white, the rest in red.
- Use white stamping polish to stamp the hibiscus design (BM-507) on all the red nails.
- Paint Stitch on the middle finger using a nail art brush.
- Use Pacific Blue for the shape of his head and ears.
- Paint a nose with Navy Fleet, and the two light eye areas with Breezy Blue.
- Use Navy Fleet to outline his head and ears, and add crease lines above his nose and eyebrows. Eyes and eyebrows are in black.
- Add white highlight dots to his eyes.
- Paint the inside if his ears with Pink Blink.
- Add two red studs to the base of the thumb.
Now I'm off to the "Happiest Place on Earth!"
