Remember when people would make mixtapes to give as gifts? Now we just make digital playlists and don't really give them to anyone. Sad. Today I just did something really quick with some stamping and studs, as a throwback to the days of cassette tapes and vinyl records. I still remember listening to my Four Seasons cassette tape. I had different taste in music than most four year olds.
I decided I like the Disney manis that I paint with my right hand better, so I'm going to start doing non-Disney things with my other hand. Or at least nail designs that don't require such intricate freehand painting.
- Wet n Wild Fergie - Ferguson Crest Syrah
- Sinful Colors - Let's Talk
- Wet n Wild Megalast - On A Trip
- Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lacey Lilac
- Forever 21 - Teal/Multi glitter polish
- Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Angelic White
- Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Black Noir
- Base and top coats
- Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-601 (records and cassette tapes)
- Rubber stamper
- Silver start studs
- Silver caviar beads
This mani is super fast and easy with just some basic stamping and stud placement. To create this look:
- Apply the base colors - index and pinky in Let's Talk, middle in On A Trip, ring in Lacey Lilac, and thumb in Ferguson Crest Syrah.
- Apply a few coats of Forever 21's teal glitter polish to the pinky.
- Stamp the records (BM-601) with black stamping polish on the ring finger, and stamp a cassette tape with white stamping polish on the index.
- The purple Sinful Colors polish tends to bleed a lot once top coat is applied. To take advantage of this transparency, I stamped two more cassette tapes on an opposite angle than the first.
- Apply three silver star studs to the middle finger, and dot silver caviar beads here and there around the stars.
