Snake In The Garden

Snake In The Garden Nail Art

This is of course a take on the serpent in the Garden of Eden.  When I first thought of this idea, I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I really like it.  The snake scales are just stamped, and then I freehanded the apple.

Nail Art

Polish Used:
  • CQ - Golden Green
  • Bundle Monster Stamping Lacquer - Liquid Gold
  • Wet n Wild - Red Red
  • Sinful Colors - Rich in Heart
  • Essence Colour & Go - Sweet as Candy
  • Sally Hansen - White On
  • Base and top coat
Other Supplies:
  • Bundle Monster stamping plate - BM-215 (scales)
  • Rubber stamper
  • Nail art brush

If you don't want to do the Garden of Eden theme, just leave off the apple.  The colors look great for just a plain snake skin mani.  To create this look:
  1. Apply a green base color.  I chose Golden Green because it matched well with the gold stamping since it also has gold in it.

  2. Stamp each nail with the snake scales (BM-215) using Liquid Gold.

  3. Use the polish brush of Red Red to paint an apple on the tip of the middle finger.  It is just two humps, so it is easy to do with the brush attached to the bottle.

  4. Use a nail art brush and Rich in Heart to add shading to the sides of the apple, and some detailing across the front.  Also use Rich in Heart to paint the stem (seen in next picture).
    Apple Shading
  5. Use Sweet as Candy to add some tiny dots, and a shine mark on the side of the apple.  Go over a few of the dots and highlight the center of the shine mark with white polish.

  1. I really like this one! I like the interesting take on a theme, plus the ring you've got is like a fabulous rhinestone-y snake. You might also call this one "Glam in the Garden" if you're really into cheesy names for manicure. :D

    1. Thanks! At first I was just going to do snake skin, but I thought I'd do something different. And I purposely picked that ring because it reminded me of a snake too :) I do like the occasional cheesy name. Most of my post titles are definitely not SEO friendly, but I like it.
