Dry Brush

Dry Brush Nails

This strategically messy mani is easy and really fast to create.  It uses the dry brush technique, where a brush with very little polish is dragged across the nail to give a feathered effect.

Nail Polish
Polish Used:
  • City Color - Blue
  • Miss Kiss - Chrome Crazy

This is a really simple mani.  The dry brush gives an edgy, graffiti-like, painting look.  You can use any colors, but I chose the purple/blue and silver because it reminded me of outer space.  Here's how to create the look:
  1. Apply a base color.  I'm using Blue by City Color.  It is a sparkly purple/blue.
  2. Dry brush the tips using Chrome Crazy.  To do this, wipe most of the polish off the brush.  Then, starting at the tip, drag the brush mid-way up your nail. Repeat this process until you get the desired look.
