She Sells Sea Shells

Pink Sea Shell Nails

Pink sea shell nails!  Bright and beachy and perfect for summer.  I wanted the focus to be on the feature nail, so I kept the rest of the nails simple since I used such a bright color.  With sea shells, pearls, and jewels, the feature nail is the perfect treasure chest. #nailart

Nail Polish
Polish Used:
  • Maybelline Color Show - Pink Shock
  • Orly - Luxe
Other Supplies:

This is a very simple mani that any nail art beginner can create.  Here's how to create the look:
  1. Apply the base colors.  I'm using Luxe on the feature nail.  The gold makes a nice background for the "treasure," and looks like glittery sand.  Paint the other nails in Pink Shock.  The bright color is a good contrast to the gold and upbeat for summer.
  2. Go crazy with the feature nail!  Apply different shells, studs, crystals, beads, and pearls.  Use different sizes and colors.  It might be helpful to plan out the design before you start applying things to your nail.  You can use gold caviar beads either grouped together to surround a pearl as I did, or just single beads here and there.
  3. Add a single pearl to the base of each pink nail - a large pearl for the thumb and smaller for the other nails.
