Jaclyn's Bachelorette Party

Bachelorette Party Nails

As I mentioned in my Vegas Vacation post, I'm off to celebrate my best friend, Jaclyn's, bachelorette party.  Since I always paint both hands with different designs, this design is dedicated to the bachelorette party.  It is just a fun, wild, summery mix of designs, but the color scheme is a take on my friend's wedding colors.

Nail Polish

Polish Used:
  • Sally Hansen Triple Shine - Seanic
  • Icing - Marine Blue
  • Icing - Laura's Fave
  • It's So Easy - aqua (color name not listed)
  • Sinful Colors - Cream Pink
  • Revlon - Bubbly
  • Jesse's Girl - fuchsia (color name not listed)
  • Fuchsia polish (unknown brand or color name)
  • Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Bluebell
  • Miss Kiss - Chrome Crazy
  • Sinful Colors - Queen of Beauty
  • Sinful Colors - Charmed
  • OPI - Silver Shatter
Other Supplies:
  • Nail brush
  • Silver nail tape
  • Round silver stud
  • Base and top coats

Although this is a simple color scheme, it still used a lot of different polishes.  You can definitely use less and it will still look great.  Here's how to create this look:
  1. Apply the base colors.  From thumb to pinky - Jesse's Girl fuchsia, Marine Blue, It's So Easy aqua, fuchsia, and fuchsia.
  2. Thumb (dry brush) - Dry brush various colors.  The silver crackle stripe should be the last one you do so it is on top of the rest of the stripes.
  3. Index (color blocking) - Apply a few coats of Seanic until the entire nail is covered in glitter.  Then, paint a large rectangle of Marine Blue (should start close to, but not touching, the base, and extend all the way to the tip...see picture).  Once that is dry, paint a smaller rectangle inside the other one with a lighter teal like Laura's Fave.  Finally, place a small round silver stud at the tip, inside the smallest rectangle.
  4. Middle (flamingo) - Using Cream Pink and a nail brush, paint a half circle across the tip.  Paint a backwards "C" for the flamingo's neck.  Using Bubbly, paint a lighter half circle inside the other, leaving just an outline of the darker pink.  Then, using white and black polish, paint the eye and the beak.
  5. Ring (chevrons) - Use a chevron nail sticker to block out a section on the top and bottom of the nail.  Paint Marine Blue in the bottom, and Laura's Fave on the top.  Use silver nail tape to emphasize the color separation of the chevrons.  Then, use Chunky Holo Bluebell to add some fuchsia glitter to the center area.
  6. Pinky (cheetah) - Use a nail brush and silver polish to make little dots where you want the cheetah spots.  Next, use black polish to outline three side of the dots to complete the look.
