With all the summer flowers in bloom, bees are everywhere, so I thought I'd do some bumble bee nails. I mixed some hand-painting with nail stamping, and of course used yellow and black colors.
- Sinful Colors - Let's Meet
- Bundle Monster - Black Noir
- Sinful Colors - Face the Facets
- Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-401 (bee)
- Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-422 (honeycomb)
- Nail stamper
- 3mm black round stud
- Nail art brush
- Base and top coats
The hand-painting in this design is very minimal and is limited to lines. To create this look:
- Apply a yellow base coat to all nails.
- Using black polish, stamp the bee image (BM-401) on the top corner of the thumb, and the honeycomb (BM-422) on the ring finger.
- Using a nail art brush and black polish, paint a swirling dashed line that starts on the index finger, and travels to the thumb to reach the bee.
- Paint a couple coats of Face the Facets on the pinky to add some glitter, and add a 3mm black round stud to the base of the nail.
- Using a nail art brush and black polish, paint thick horizontal lines on the middle finger. You could use nail tape instead of painting lines. I just didn't want to wait for the yellow polish to dry enough for that.
