Tangled

Disney's Tangled, tells the story of Rapunzel.  As a previous chameleon owner myself, I really liked Pascal, so I decided to paint him for my Tangled-themed nails.  Plus, his green coloring is a good contrast to the purple polish.

I received the Disney Fairytale nail polish set from my aunty as a gift.  The set includes polishes for Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel, and Ariel.  I decided to start with Rapunzel because I was really excited to try out my Pascal idea, and I was drawn to the vibrant purple.  I don't use purple polish enough (even though I probably have 20 bottles of purple polishes).  Maybe a monochromatic purple mani should be added to my list of looks to try.

Polish Used:

• Disney Fairytale - Rapunzel
• Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Green with Envy
• Ulta - Envy
• Sinful Colors - All About You
• Black and white polish for eyes

Other Supplies:

• Nail art brush
• Dotting tool
• Base and top coats

 

It is helpful to google a picture of Pascal before painting, so you can see the details better.  To create this look:

1. Apply a purple base coat to all the nails.
2. Apply a couple coats of All About You by Sinful Colors to the ring finger.  One of the main symbols in the movie is a sun, so this copper and gold glitter polish is symbolic of that.
3. Paint Pascal.
• Using a nail brush and Green with Envy, paint the shape of his body. 
• Once that is dry, use a nail brush with a darker green polish to add any shadowing to enhance his arms, legs, tail, and head.
• Use some white polish and a nail brush to paint eyeballs.
• Use a dotting tool and black polish to dot his irises. 
• Use a tiny dotting tool and white polish to add highlight dots to the irises.
