Chrome Crazy

Chrome nail stamping

I've been trying to use different nail plates that I own, but have never used before.  With this swirling whirlpool stamp, I decided to do a chrome gradient underneath.  Since the lighter chrome polish was a bit sheer, I just painted it straight on the nail instead of using a sponge to do the gradient.  It works okay for under stamping, but it's not as smooth as sponging.
Nail Polish
Polish Used:
  • Kleancolor Duochrome 3D - Bright/Moody
  • Kleancolor Duochrome 3D - Wicked/Angelic
  • Bundle Monster - Angelic White
Other Supplies:
  • Bundle Monster stamping plate BM-418
  • Stamper
  • Base and top coats

This is a really quick and easy design.  To create this look:
  1. Apply the base color, Bright/Moody, on all nails.  This is a dark purple chrome polish.

  2. Starting in the middle of the nail, paint Wicked/Angelic.  Add a second coat to just the tip to enhance the gradient.

  3. Using white polish and BM-418, stamp the whirlpool design on each nail.

From a different angle, you can see the multidimensional coloring of the chrome polish.
