Earlier this year, my family rented a house in Dillon Beach, CA for a weekend vacation. I wanted to do a beach themed nail, but not overly tropical since that's not how northern California beaches are. I chose a black and gold look - gold to represent the sand, and black to add a cool, chic quality to it.
- Wet n Wild - Black Crème
- Orly - Luxe
- Gold nail tape
- Gold metal rectangle studs
- Gold metal seashell stud
- Various other crystals and studs
- Nail art brush
- Base and top coats
Since the paint job is pretty simple, this is a fast mani to create. To get the look:
- Apply the base colors - all nails black, except the ring finger which should be gold.
- Place a single gold rectangle on the tips of the pinky and index fingers, and three studs on the tip of the thumb in a pyramid shape.
- Apply gold nail tape in a large rectangle pattern on the middle finger.
- Using a nail brush, paint in the center of the triangle with gold polish.
- Cover the triangle with the seashell stud, and various other crystals and studs. I chose crystals/studs that were pink, purple, aqua, gold, and clear.
- Seal all the studs on with a few coats of clear top coat.
