Enchantment Under The Sea

Ocean nail art

Back to the Future reference :)  On a side note, I always wished we'd had an under the sea dance when I was in high school because decorations would have been so cool, but it never made the vote.  For my nails, I created this enchanting under the sea look with +Bundle Monster stamping plates.

I've been waiting for Bundle Monster's new Sun Kissed Collection to come out since it was first announced.  The 10 gorgeous plates are on sale right now for $7.99 for a limited time for the release.  Normal price is $9.99, which is still a really good deal.  I was lucky enough to get the set for free, in exchange for an honest review.  Get ready for a week of beach and ocean themed nail art!  I'm going to try and use most of the plates before summer is officially over, but there are also a couple lighthouse-y ones I can still use later in the fall.

Overall, I love these plates!  I'm a huge fan on Bundle Monster nail plates to begin with - I own all their collections except for one.  But even if I wasn't already a fan, these plates are still amazing!  With ocean creatures, sea shells, nautical, mermaids, pirates, coral reefs, tropical summer drinks, and ice cream treats, the possibilities are endless.  There are so many designs and nail art creations that can be made with these 10 plates.  Aside from the look of the images, the engraving is also great.  I haven't come across any issues of the designs being too shallow to transfer.  I can't wait to try them all!  Buy your own at www.bundlemonster.com.  Stay tuned...I'll be posting different creations each day for the next week.

  • Rubber stamper and scraper
  • 2mm gold round studs
  • 3mm gold round studs
  • Base and top coats

When I first painted these nails, I used a ton of different colors like a coral reef, but it just looked too messy.  So I cleaned it all off, and at 11:30pm last night, I started over and kept it simple with three colors.  To create this look:
  1. Apply a blue base color.  Pool Party is a light shimmery blue.  It is slightly iridescent, but not overly shimmery to detract from the stamping.
    Blue base color
  2. Using black polish, stamp the background designs on each nail - kelp (BM-501) on index, fan coral (BM-501) on middle, other coral (BM-501) on ring, and bubbles (BM-505) on pinky.
    Stamped Nails
  3. Using gold polish, stamp the seahorse (BM-506) on middle finger.
  4. Add a 3mm gold round stud to the base of the pinky and thumb.
  5. Add 2mm gold round studs in random places on the remaining nails.
    Studs and Seahorse
All cleaned up and in indirect sunlight (for once the pictorial pics taken during the night look better than indirect sunlight...weird).
