Here's another look using the feathers I received from +Bundle Monster. I jazzed up the neutral feather nail art with some gold foil, but it still has the natural feel you would want from a feather mani.
Polish Used:
- Wet n Wild - French White Crème
- Brown Polka dot feathers
- Gold foil
- ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever
- Toothpick
- Foil sealant
- Base and top coats
This look is fairly easy to create, once you get the hang of working with feathers. To create this look:
- Apply a white base color.
- Affix feathers to nails. See Birds of a Feather to see the step-by-step tutorial how to do this. In my previous post, I worked one nail at a time to apply the feathers. This time, I did them all at the same time. You can't use your hand since there are feathers sticking past your nails, but it was faster. (Ignore the mess around my nails...it is the dry top coat, not gross dry skin. I promise).
- Dab glue onto each nail where you want the foil to be.
- Apply foil. I used more of a gold leaf type foil, so it isn't the regular type that comes off the clear backing. As a result, I used a toothpick to scrape away the foil not glued on.
- Apply a coat of foil sealant.
- Coat with a few coats of top coat, being sure to cover the edge of the tips to secure the feathers on.
