Mystic Marble Mash

Marble Nail Art

I decided to try the plastic bag marbling technique.  I think I used too many colors/polishes for it to work properly, but I still like it.  I based my color choices off of the solar quartz with its iridescent whites and blues.

Nail Polish

Polish Used:
  • Sinful Colors - Tokyo Pearl
  • Sephora by OPI - Blasted Opalescent
  • Ulta - Glacier
  • Orly - Luxe
  • Sinful Colors - See You Soon
  • Ulta - Denim Glitz
Other Supplies:

You'll be smooshing or mashing the polish with the plastic bag, so it is easier to cut little pieces of it first to use on each nail.  To create this look:
  1. Apply a base color in Tokyo Pearl. As the name implies, it is a pearlescent white, which works best for the gemstone look of this nail.

  2. Apply a thick coat of Tokyo Pearl, then dot a mix of white glitter polishes, blue polish, and gold polish.

  3. Smoosh the polish with the plastic bag.

  4. Carefully lift the plastic.  You may need to blot the plastic again to get the desired effect.

  5. Add a gold ring to the base of each nail and add a pearl to the center.

  6. Seal everything on with top coat.
