Autumn Argyle

Autumn Argyle Nail Art

You're going to be seeing a lot more manis with fall colors.  This Autumn Argyle look is for China Glaze's fall inspired looks for #CGClique.  At first I was going to do something with stamped leaves, but opted for a fall color scheme instead, with some argyle prints mixed in.  Argyle makes me think of socks, sweaters, and scarves that are all fall weather attire.

This design is inspired by +elleandish // Janelle.  I used different colors, but the layout of the design is similar.  That girl knows her stuff.

Nail Polish

Polish Used:
  • China Glaze - Cherry Crystal
  • Orly - Luxe
  • Wet n Wild - French White Crème
  • Julep - Jane-Bombshell
  • Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis - Seared Bronze
Other Supplies:
  • 3mm gold round studs (flat)
  • Nail art brush
  • Base and top coats

The argyle print may look tricky, but it nothing more than diamonds, and X's (or lines if you want to think about it in even smaller terms).  To create this look:
  1. Apply the base colors - thumb and ring in Luxe, index in Seared Bronze, and middle and pinky in Cherry Crystal.
  2. Paint the argyle print on the ring and thumb, by first painting two horizontal diamonds in Cherry Crystal.

  3. Paint a white "X" over each diamond, being sure to connect the two X's at the ends where they meet.

  4. Add a 3mm gold round stud to the base of the middle and pinky fingers.

  5. Add a coat of Jane-Bombshell to the index finger to add some more glitter.

    1. Thanks! I'm excited for fall. I love fall fashion and drinking hot cocoa, and these nails definitely get me in that mood.
